Black LGBTQ Woman Powerhouse Launches Vegan Cosmetics Line

Black LGBTQ Woman Powerhouse Launches Vegan Cosmetics Line

I am a Black business owner and I'm proud to carry a line of lip shades for the woman who wishes to glow. At Vatarie Cosmetics, you will find vegan and cruelty-free lip care products such as clear lip gloss and liquid matte lipsticks. The line is presently still in development, so there are additional products being made that you will be hearing about soon!

My products are of high quality and my aspiration is to get my brand into high-end stores throughout the country and even throughout the world.

About Ms. Plush

I worked myself into my business career since I did not have money. The ambition of my cosmetic line is to create excitement for anyone who uses the line. My products are of high quality, and it would be my ultimate goal to get my brand in high-end stores throughout the country as well as throughout the world. I feel that with a little makeup and some quality threads, anyone can smile at the world. I stand proud and vociferously as an ally of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and as an ally, as well as member, of the LGBTQIA community.

There have been more than enough challenges that I have had to overcome in my entire life, the latest being the recent passing away of my father who passed away much too early. I have never let those challenges discourage me and won't begin now. I will keep going forward and work diligently to grow my business, knowing that this is what my father would have desired.

All About the Vatarie Line

When I launched the line, my goal was to encourage every human to discover their inner beauty and enjoy themselves in the process. Keeping this in mind, my offerings are suited for all genders, races, religions, and creeds. The Vatarie line will have more to offer customers very soon as I am continually working on developing products and expanding the line. In addition to the lip colors currently offered, the line will soon include highlighters, eyeshadows, and new lip gloss additions.

I believe that no one needs makeup to validate themselves, and we are all beautiful on our own. I do think, however, that makeup can make life a whole lot more enjoyable. Now more than ever we are in a time where there is just so much sorrow and blackness. All we really need to shift our moods and escape that darkness sometimes is something to make us feel better and brighter — where a pop of makeup and a nicely put together outfit can truly come into play.

We are living now more than ever in a world where there is so much darkness and sadness.

I urge everyone to celebrate their inner style and inner beauty, and be themselves regardless. My product line is born from high fashion and made to make a statement. The common thread throughout all my products is empowerment at every level and every step of the way. I make things that put smiles on my customers' faces, and I make sure I am also smiling with my products before I get rid of every single one. There is no room for shortcuts since I believe in making the best product.

I infuse my humor and offbeat personality into my products and you can catch it in the titles of each product. Take the lip colour "Blood Money," representing all the money, tears, sweat, and yes, blood that went into the brand. Trust me, it was work, and it's still work, but at the end of the day, it satisfies me to know the kind of quality I am delivering. It's a tremendous honor to make a product line that becomes legendary and will impact someone positively and lead them somewhere of self-acceptance and self-love.

About the Past that Makes My Business Worthwhile

I've fought for years with mental abuse that made me feel like "I wasn't enough." Added to that, being a Black female in an industry that is mostly dominated by other races, I worked twice as hard to be where I am today.

Having been from a broken home, my family struggled with addiction, so my whole childhood was a miserable nightmare. My mother left us because she was physically abused, and it was left to us children to do anything and everything needed to take care of the house and ourselves. We ultimately had to move in with my grandmother in Miami, Florida. I had to suffer physical as well as mental abuse and was incarcerated at a very tender age. At 22, I lost my little sister to a gunshot and was left taking care of her one-year-old son as my own.

As a Black female in a field that is largely controlled by other races, I had to do double the work to reach where I stand now.

Though my history was tough, it's what has led to me being the strong, independent, and beautiful woman I am today. She works hard every day to be her best and provide the finest line of cosmetics products. I couldn't help but notice it as I was living all of those horrible situations and fighting to grow up, but in hindsight, I can see how I was toughened up by it.

As I mourn the loss of my father who passed away recently, I grow stronger. It is this increased personal strength that will propel me in all that I do and be evident in my work ethic and in creating new products for my Vatarie range of cosmetics.
